Steve Martin Wins One for Bluegrass

Submitted by Jim Brown on September 30, 2011 - 8:02pm

In an interview broadcast on SiriusXM before the International Bluegrass Music Awards, Steve Martin talked about his contributions to bluegrass.

Martin's existing fame from a lengthy comedy and acting career provid

e attention to whatever he does. In this case, the support as a byproduct goes to bluegrass music.

With Martin taking top honors at the awards event in Nashville, Tennessee, this will only help bring new attention, musicians and fans to the bluegrass scene. Great appreciation goes to Steve Martin for bringing his stand-up comedy banjo tunes and delivering a solid banjo picking bluegrass win.
